īreakfast at Tiffany’s – deep blue something There are currently 55 completed SchIzOs, and new ones are always coming. What I am doing here is posting the playlists for these SchIzO albums, with a little backstory and commentary on the album as a whole, the songs on them, and what they mean to me. Of course, by that point, I had already made several more. Once I was back on my feet and no longer out of my goddamn mind, I was able to almost completely recreate those albums. Somewhere along the line, though, I had the presence of mind to write down every SchIzO playlist that I had created. As usually happens in those kinds of situations, I lost everything I owned somewhere between acquiring a serious problem and admitting that I had it. Life takes weird turns sometimes, and mine took a turn towards the dark side. I started making more, first just to showcase songs, then with themes, then as an expression of how I was feeling. The problem with making a mix CD when you have a collection as large as mine is that a CD only holds so much, you know? I had to make more, because there was so much that I wanted to take from the computer to the car. I wanted to make a mix CD that reflected the eclectic nature of my music collection, and I called it Schizophrenia. With the advent of the MP3, and file sharing programs, things became even more diverse, as I added songs from as far back as the 30s and discovered new groups and songs that I enjoyed.

At one time, I had a CD collection that numbered around 500, with selections like current pop hits, old school rap, new wave punk, heavy metal, and even classic country. My parents, my friends, the people I respected, and even the people I hated. I have always had an eclectic taste in music, due to several extremely different influences in my formative years.
